La Rucia Ranch: Cattle Operations
The goal of our cattle operation is to provide consumers a safe and wholesome protein product. The property is operated as a working cattle ranch, and has both a cow/calf operation, along with running stocker yearlings on certain portions of the property. A tremendous amount of range work has gone into the ranch over the last few decades, including prescribed burning, cross-fencing, extensive water development and rotational grazing.
Operations:
La Rucia Ranch cattle operations are primarily commercial cow-calf. Two calving season (Fall & Spring) enables us to market calves at multiple times throughout the year. We provide all our livestock custom tailored health and nutrition regimens from breeding to weaning. With the use of low-stress traditional ranching practices, as well as modern technologies La Rucia Ranch Company consistently produces calves that perform at the stocker, and feedlot level.

Cows:
The La Rucia Ranch cow herd is comprised of primarily commercial Braford (F1) cross cows. The F-1 cross provides
increases longevity, heat tolerance, insect resistance, and incredible mothering abilities.
Bulls:
Our bull battery is comprised of registered and commercial Charolaise, Red Angus, and Stabilizer bulls.
